Mini Morris with Honda ambitions...

In 1968 Spanish firm Authi introduced a locally-built version of the BMC's baby to cater for local demand and circumvent import tariffs. The Authi Mini was the result, and it had quite a legacy.

But in the modern world this was not enough, especially in terms of power and brakes. For this purpose it was decided to replace the engine with a D16Z6 from Honda and improve the brake system.
